Don’s Life Story:

Don was born on October 29, 1951 in Watertown, NY to Cecil & Hazel Sweet.  He was from a very large family, one of 13, Cecilia Hess, Elliot Sweet, David Sweet, Francis Noel, Constance, Sharon Morin, Wiley Sweet, Becky Vincent, Michael Sweet, Maryellen Sweet. He had a brief marriage to a young love named Barbara in Kansas. When that didn’t work out he returned to Rochester and reconnected with his family.  Don was a painter until some unfortunate events happened and he changed his career to a maintenance man/manager of the apartment building we lived at. Don also went to school to learn to cut hair to better provide for his family.  He loved to cook and have family meals together, that was very important to him. Don would always say "WHAT'S UP?" when he saw his friends.

He was the life of the party, he would play his guitar and singing songs like, Here Comes Peter Cottontail, Here Comes Santa Claus or any song we asked him to play. He had a good voice until he got sick.  Don loved to be with his family, if it was camping, fishing anything outside was his favorite. He liked the Buffalo Bills and one of his sayings was “Get her done”, he loved to have a good time.

Don wasn’t afraid of life, he lived it to the fullest, he was “Donny Duck and didn’t give a fu*k”. Full of life and wanted everyone to have fun and we did, probably too much!

We all loved our father, we enjoyed the camping and fishing, my dad loved that!  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
