Matilde had many interests and talents including gardening, sewing, cooking, crocheting and knitting, creating beauty wherever she went. Her cooking was legendary, as well as her ability to make all feel welcome at her table. She went out of her way to help everyone in their time of need. She loved animals, many times nursing stray or injured animals back to health. Matilde was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and a caring, loving grandmother. Her love of family, inner strength, fortitude, resilience, and perseverance served her well in her journey through life.
We extend a heartfelt thanks to her loving caregivers at Cottage Grove who showed us all that angels walk among us.
Private Mass and internment at St. John's, Spencerport, NY. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lollypop Farm or a charity of your choice in Matilde’s memory.
